Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

Had from the bottle and poured into a tulip glass. Pours an amber color with a nice, one finger head that sticks around for quite a bit. The aroma is hoppy and sweet and nice combination. On taste it is full bodied, hoppy and spicy - very nice. It may be hoppy it is also a nice balance and nice and smooth on the palate. Impressed.

On tap at Mad Mex near Pitt. I believe the hype about the hop. Dark amber with nice head huge hops odor and taste with full body and refreshing finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy deep amber under a tall light stone head. Big piney aroma backed up with grapefruit and and orange zest. Massive grapefruit/hoppy flavor hits the tongue like a wave at Mavericks but the hefty long board of malt keeps the beer steady through the curl. Silky texture with a nice level of prickly carbonation and a medium dry finish. A beautiful IPA from one of the granddaddies of craft brewing!

12 release wet hop ale. I’ve said some beers were dank before but dammit this one takes the cake! Just a huge bag o weed smell in this one! Flavor even hints at the same, also a little piney, but its not overwhelmingly flavored with hop, as there’s a big sweet bready malt, alot of fluffy carbonation keeping it moving over the palate and down real easy. Finish has a good whack of bitterness but it feels balanced. Warming and heady. Copper penny in color, fluffy beige head.

Thanks 17thfloor! Pours a ruby reddish brown with a fluffy light tan head. Aroma is very distinct roasted malt and a burnt caramel note. Some small bitter hops and plum are also apparent. Flavor starts out with a bit of tobacco and burnt malt. Quickly hit by bitter hops and a mild brown sugar finish with a strong bitter aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation. Good beer but a bit peculiar. I am not sure if the line was okay but it was still tasty and very easy to drink.

this one came from the PP Carlsbad shop--2008 bottle, ’’’’12th Release’’’’: copper body, orange highlight, sparkling lacing, medium off-white head; bittersweet and lightly salty; very nice mouthful, smooth; very good.

From 24oz bottle. Pours darker ornge color than expected with long lasting head. Aroma is of fragrant hops. Strong pine hops and nice mouth feel. Great value @ $4/24oz.

Pours a delightfully clear, pale amber. Medium body and nice balance of hoppy spice and malty sweetness. Adding fresh hops to this beer is certainly worth the effort. Will look forward to drinking this again next autumn!
