Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

Fresh Hops! This is really a hop lovers beer. The hops are fresh but not overdone. Good malt backbone. I look forward to having this one again.

Had the 1997 brew. Pours a golden copperish with a nice white head. Aroma has a combination of grapefruit and pine. The hop flavor is clear but not overpowering. Flavors of citrus, pine, and some caramel malt comes through. Slight hint of bitterness at the finish but again is not overly pronounced.

A good beer- it pours a copper color with a piney aroma and some citrus. It has lots of hoppy, bitter flavor with a piney and bitter hop finish with a somewhat dry/ bitter nail-dragging finish. It’s respectable.

bottle - pours dark copper with very slight haze and thin white head; big hop aromas are on the sweet side and a little grassy; lots of bitterness in the flavors and very dry at the finish; could use some more body and sweetness, but a decent effort

Deep amber ale, with nice off-white lacing. Aroma is grass and citrus. Flavor is herbal, nicely bitter, with a back end of sweetness and a clear grapefruit note. Finish is clearly bitter, reducing slightly to a fresh sweetness. Loving this one.

Pours red and clear with a white head. Great hop aroma with a hoppy finish and a smooth mouthfeel.
