Commercial Description:
Our Harvest Ale was the first American beer ever brewed with 100% fresh picked, "wet hops." In just one day, we harvest hops in Yakima, WA, ship them that night to our brewery in Chico, CA, and then rush them into the brew kettle as they are unloaded at dawn the next day.

This extraordinary effort creates a beer with unmatched aromatics of pine and citrus with layers of spicey sweet notes that hop fanatic like us dream of all year. Enjoy!

Serving: Draft. Appearance: Clear orange color with a rocky, off-white head. Excellent head retention. Aroma: Pine and citrus hops with some malt sweetness coming through. Flavor: Pine resin but in a light way. Citrus, spicy hops, and a solid malt backbone. This one has great balance. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-long, bitter finish. Overall: A very solid IPA that is a pleasure to drink.

I bought the 13th release HARVEST wet hop ale.I assume it is the same as this beer. This beer had not much of an aroma, but it was quite cold.I would expect it to be fragrant as it got warmer.Had a clear, beautiful orange-brown color.Perfect amount of foam when poured.Has that grapefruit Ipa flavor that I love.Bitter,Flowery taste.Has that moderately sticky taste.Burps up floral in the nose. This may be my favorite IPA.However,I had one with a bit more body last night on tap, that may be better. It was also a tad sweeter. This is dry and bitter.I marked it down a bit because the one last night I thought was better.

13 Release Wet Hop Harvest Ale - Pours a huge thick head that leaves long lasting and thick lacing - strong aroma of fresh hops - not overly bitter on the palate - lighter body than expected - goes down very easily - Very enjoyable brew

0.7 l bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009 (12th release Harvest 2008). Hazy amber color. Good flowery and lemony hop aroma. Juicy and flowery hop flavor with notes of berries as firm yet smooth bitterness. Very smooth, drinkable and moreish.

24 oz. 13th release bottle- Let me start off by saying that the 12th release of this wet hop ale was one of the best IPA’s I’ve ever had, and this one although not quite as good is still quite spectacular. Pours amber with a head that disspates eventually. The Estate Harvest is next, we will see which one triumphs, the local one or the wet one Daniel son.

Excellent IPA. Good, fresh hops flavor with a wonderful nose. Pours with a small head. Mine was from a bottle labeled 2008 harvest .

Bottle, (13th release) poured into a snifter. Nice dark orange color, good head. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Citrus and pine aroma. Taste is classic ipa, very piney and citrus. Well balanced though the hops domintate the flavor. Texture is medium, pretty smooth, easy to drink. Overall a nice IPA.
