Aroma: spicy pumpkin, nutmeg. Apperance: transparent, copper, huge head. slight carb. Flavor: spice, long hop palate, Palate: a bit watery, nice lingering hop finish. Overall: ok, neutral watery hop IPA-style. actually nice for a Sierra Nevada

Dec 19, 2009 2009 13th release, 24-oz bottle Marcello’s Lafayette, La - Aroma: citrus, pine, spicy (hop); Appearance: clear, reddish-amber color, off-white head, lots of laces; Flavor: sweet, salty (malt), bitter (hop); Mouthfeel: medium bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, bitter-dry finish; Overall: a beautiful clean, well balance of the hoppy and malty beer, such the beer is not over welled by the hops, with a nice crisp long-dry finish.

Dec 18, 2009 Light copper/orange in color with a creamy, lasting off white head. Aroma of citrus, and some light pine, and somewhat earthy. Clean. Taste is assertively hoppy, alot of pine and citrus, with a moderate bitterness throughout. Overall nice, although I probably would have enjoyed this one a bit more if I got it when it was actually fresh. Body was good.

Dec 17, 2009 From the 24 fl. oz bottle. This one is the 2009 13th release. The pour is a fairly cloudy amber with a thin but frothy beige head. Good lacing on the pint glass. The aroma has a good dose of hops but there is also something soapy about it. It is not offensive; it is just odd to my nose. The mouthfeel is of good medium quality. The taste is bitter and tart like an IPA should be but there is also something in it that has a dessert-like quality. It seemed to fit right in after dinner. A dessert beer! Just like a dessert wine! Likeable brew overall.

Dec 15, 2009 ABSOLUTLY HANDS DOWN my favorite of the Sierra Family. As soon as you pour it,your nose is filled with grapefruit and citrus and pine.nice crisp bite but definitly not over-bearing.leaves a nice bitter yet floral film right on the base of the tounge.

Dec 14, 2009 13th release.. bottle. Pours burnt amber, pure white head. Grassy, slightly citrusy hops in the nose. Flavor begins heavy on citrus, sweetening to a malty caramel sweetness. Very nice.

Dec 8, 2009 24 oz. bottle, 2009. Wow, look at this beer. Pours a beautiful murky red amber, with a foamy, bubbly slightly yellow white head. Smells of a rich hoppyness only found in wet hop ales, pungent floral aroma, spruce and pine. Taste is a hoppy bitterness with surprisingly mellow finish. Slight yeasty quality to it, slightly syrupy. Overall an excellent brew from sierra nevada, gotta love ’em.
