| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Bottle from Beers of Europe Great hoppy aroma was the first thing I noticed from this lovely looking amber beer. The aroma intrigued me I thought it was quite grapefruity and piney at first and was expecting a massive hoppy hit much like a Simcoe, but this was really well balanced great bitterness and hops but also really enjoyable and a very good stab at the style, could easily drink 2-3 of these and not get bored. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Poured from the bottle into a glass. Mostly clear darkish-golden amber color with a large foamy and creamy head, off-white in color. Slightly sweet early taste, but mostly bitter and a bit sour. The aroma is earthy and grainy, featuring some pine scents and a touch of caramel malt. The beer is pretty fizzy and bubbly, with a drying finish and a nice kick of alcohol. emacgee (1891), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Pours a solid orange amber with an orangey creamy thick head. Maintains well and laces. The nose is sweet, shows really earthy herbal hops, pine, and some caramel. The flavor is waxy and bitter, earthy, pine notes, alcohol bite. I can imagine this being a fairly close interpretation of original IPA’s. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Decent India Pale Ale. The aroma is kind of weak, which is why i wasn’t expecting such a big taste. Nice, crisp and bitter. Radek Kliber (3962), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Appearance :Slight haze, amber-red with generous off white top. Neat lace created.
Nose :Plenty of high alpha hops, not as clean as you might wish. Slightly medicinal overtones. Flavour/Palate: Medium bodied with frontal earthiness blended with west coast hops. Malt base bit weak making this ale off balance. Bitterness not as clean as in some other better IPA examples on market. Expected more from SN.
