Commercial Description:
Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

12oz bottle poured a copper orange color with a nice off white head. The aroma was that of an english IPA with an average hop nose and some fruity easters. Taste had a strong bitterness that lingered and some nice caramel flavors. Typical SN with a slightly drier hop finish and stronger bitterness.

This beer pours a rich orange color with a small white head leaving some lacing down the sides. So far I have never been let down by a sierra nevada beer and this is no exception! This a beer in the classic style of an ipa that I will be buying again! Nice balance of hops giving it that traditional hoppy flavor with a good amount of hops to balance it out. Cheers!

Nice rich golden color. Has very thin head which dissipates quickly. Delicate floral hop aroma. Pronounced hop bite, which is slightly more powerful than the mild malt character. A nice IPA, but I was hoping for a little more from Sierra Nevada.

A quite nice IPA. its gives off a dry yet hoppy aroma and flavor. the bitter is more of straight bitter than a citrus bitter than what I normally used too. Look and feel great.

Poured kind of gold-copper hybrid alloy with off white head. The aroma seems like a sweet grapefruit or tangelo slushy with liquid malt extract poured on top. The flavor has a nice big up front citrus hop bitterness that springs out of the glass. Beyond the initial bite an upwelling of sweet malts joins the fun. Just before the finish the hop flavor becomes more like sweet citrus hard candy that has been partially sucked on and then dropped onto a freshly mowed lawn.

12 oz bottle, nyc, 2007 variety. I purchased this one morning after a long night. The last thing I wanted was a beer, but there it was, SN’s annual IPA. Great deep orange cloudiness you desire from a quality ipa. Piney, citrus hops. delicious seasonal brew.
