Pours orange with a fluffy head and great lacing. Flavor is not as big as aroma. Hops and malt but nothing jumps. Too sweet for an IPA in my opinion. Palate is smooth and a little tart. An easy drinking IPA but too sweet and not bitter enough for my liking. SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2006 Interesting IPA, I wasn’t sure what to expect given that the PA is a nice big fruity, hoppy (great) beer already. I was surprised this showed a bit of restraint, and also was not just the PA with more hopping. It is drier, slightly more bready. Clear amber/orange with a nice head. Notes of brown sugar in the nose carries a malt sweetness into the start. Very good.
Thanks to holdwine for this one. LtJudge (432), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2006 Orange tan and a little hazy. Medium, fluffy off white head. Spicey, earthy aroma. Citrus flavor, medium body. Bitterness lingers in the aftertase. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about this beer. I think its ok, not nearly as good as celebration. johnno543 (1), USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2006 I was excited to try an IPA that I have never seen/had before but found this dissappointing.
Bottle. Tastes like they just brewed their pale ale with a higher alcohol content. Where’s the hops? Very light taste with a bitter aftertaste. Again, where’s the hops?
As an IPA fanatic I say stick with Anderson Valley IPA or Lagunitas. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The night after a tornado, it was a little respite from the local mess. The body was medium orange with a fluffy light khaki head. The aroma had fresh bread and some old oranges. There was also a hint of caramel. The taste was rich with caramel and subtle grapefruit. As I drank, the bitterness began to add up. Greater than the sum of it’s parts. A solid, but not special IPA. I tried the 2007 edition in the bottle and came up with mostly the same notes. Nice, but not special. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Bottle. Pours golden\orange with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma of pine wood hops aroma, citrus, sweet malts. Flavor is sweet upfront with decent hoppy bitter finish, citrus, and carbonation. Good body, decent brew.
