Commercial Description:
Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

Bottle. Pours golden\orange with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma of pine wood hops aroma, citrus, sweet malts. Flavor is sweet upfront with decent hoppy bitter finish, citrus, and carbonation. Good body, decent brew.

Had this one bottled. Great deep orange color, with well balanced hops tastes.

Orange in color with off brown head. Nose of hops, not ig citrus, but hints of grass. Flavor is a good balance between hops and malt. Nice tones of grapefruit, with slight sweet malt in the middle. Not as big and hoppy as I thought it would be.

Thanks to jimbowood for sending this one. 12 oz bottle. Deep golden beer with an off-white. Aroma is fairly hoppy, earthy woody hops and a bit of pine. No grapefruit or citrus. Fairly clean malt aroma, a bit of caramel and toffee. Flavour is well-balanced, nice hoppy bitter finish. Bitterness borders on astringent with some metallic notes. As others have mentioned, a very English interpretation. As the beer warms a nice spicy hop flavour/aroma comes forward. Still, I think they could do better.

From a 12 oz. twist cap stubby brown bottle with the year 2006 on the neck label, no bottled/freshness date. Made a good appearance, poured a orange hued copper with a large foamy white head that settled into a sticky, thin, bubbly lacing, decent carbonation. Fruity and citric nose with a little butteriness and a touch of earthiness. A smooth, watery, grainy light bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Crisp earthy, a little cedary, bitterness, a mellow fruity, grainy maltiness, a watery butteriness showing up towards the end and a dry grainy and earthy hop finish. A decent, but not good, take on an English IPA, a tad too watery for me.

Bottle. Pours orange in color with a creamy looking off white head and lots of little bubbles in the glass. Some lacing. Some piney hops in the aroma with sweet caramel and vanilla present. Taste is malty for an IPA, the hop bitterness is there, but only a slight grapefruit/pine taste. Finish is bitter and there is a little pepper lingers in the back of my mouth for a while. I like the Pale Ale better.

Orange-gold pour with a big, white rocky head. Oddly, the nose is sweetly maltlike, with hints of piney hops. Rather light flavor - some malt, a touch of grapefruit. Peppery bitter finish finally shows up late. Eh. Really bland. Expected better from SN.

Bottle. Pours a clear light copper with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly, just hanging on the ege of the glass. The aroma is earthy but not overpowering. It has a sweetness upfront and a hoppiness reminscent of the classic SNPA, but with a more dry and not incredibly bitter finish. Thin and carbonated it lacked body.
