Poured from a bottle. Cloudy orange color. Thick white head with nice lacing and carbonation. Smells of banana/banana bread and clove. Hints of wheat. Tastes banana, clove, yeast, grain, and lemon. Some spice. Overall quite drinkable. 04Sep2009

Appearance: Intensely cloudy yellow honey in colour, medium size dense white head. Heavily carbonated. Aroma: Clear citric notes, with grainy wheat hints. Can definitely smell bananas, kind a banana bread-like. Slightly acidic bready yeast. Taste: Very bready grain-like flavours. Sweet fruity banana. Lemony citrus, providing a mildly sharp hit. There is a very subtle spicy flavour, possibly cloves. Mouthfeel: Lively, and medium bodied. Quite chewy. Drinkability: Easy to drink and enjoyable. Will probably have this again.

Bottle, #494. Opaque pour with large white head. Sweet aroma of wheat, clove and citrus. Flavor follows with a bit of grassiness. Not my style, but very good brew.

Cloudy opaque golden color with a massively foamy white head because I stirred up the yeast on the bottom of the bottle. A yeasty honey aroma dominated by a citrus orange smell. A slight grassy hops aroma comes out in the end. The taste is undoubtedly full of active yeast and wheat that is tempered by a salty lemon character. The palate is a heavy velvet like texture. While an interesting beer the freshness and abundant west coast hops that makes Sierra Nevada Ale so famous are not well displayed in this beer style.

Cloudy yellow pour with a 3/4 inch white head. Aroma is subtle banana with a hint of citrus. Flavor is bananas and cloves wit ha grainy wheat note and a liberal dash of yeast. Full-bodied, refreshing and good. A light, crisp finish. Nice.

12 oz. bottle - hazy, dull gold with huge eggy white head; lovely aromas of cloves, honey, sweet malts and wheat; creamy texture with a yeasty fizziness; bread, lemons and mild clove flavors; like other hefes, it seem that the nose rocks and the flavor falls flat; love the nose and texture; very nice and crazy drinkable; yummy

12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy, tarnished golden color; medium-bubbled off-white head with good retention and solid lacing; nice pour. Solid amounts of cloves in the nose, with bready yeastiness and overripe bananas following; a nice citrus acidity as well; still, doesn’t really dig in with the dense chewy breadiness and yeast of the best... Medium mouthfeel: lively carbonation; nice, lively citrus acidity and bready yeast and cloves upfront; still, the carbonation and the citrus never quite relax enough to let out the chewy malts and yeast character underneath; very pleasant, very drinkable, and just a touch standoffish from the acidity and the carbonation. Medium finish: toasty, bready notes and lingering cloves.

Bottle pours cloudy golden color with off white head. Aroma is banana and clove. Tingly mouthfeel from the high carbonation. Flavor is spot on for this style. Banana and spicy cloves dominate. This is a great brew.
