Pours a hazy light orange with a thin white head. Leaves nice lacing. Taste is initially sweet with a bit of spice and hop at the end. Very light and bubbly on the palate. A great offering from Sierra Nevada. theisti (1665), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2009 12 oz bottle purcahsed at Lukass in Kansas City, Missouri. Pour is a very hazy, unfiltered orange yellow golden, with a foamy one inch white head that falls quick. Aroma of mildly sour wheat, muted bubblegum, and sweet banana esters. There is a nice clove element behind that. The nose is nice, though not terribly complex. Taste is sweet banana esters, big clove and bubble gum. The mild;y sour wheat from the nose is not present in the taste, and probably would have helped balance this out a bit. Also some apple fruit present. Palate is chewy medium, also notable unfiltered. Carbonation is low to medium, right for the style. This is a nicely drinkable hefe, though not terribly complex. gearbike (416), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2009 Everything in this beer is suitably done. It is just a plain but class beer. Often a beer with this sweet banna taste will have an overwhelming aroma but no Kellerwies. It is very clean and smooth. HughConway (367), Washington, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 22, 2009 12oz bottle. It’s good for an American weissbier, but not even close to the Germans. Compare back to back with a Schneider, Hacker, Erdinger or Paulaner. PolishHammer (64), , Connecticut, USA

Terrific summer beer. True to style in terms of the subtle wheat taste and well-rounded flavor. Clean finish. Cloudy with a thick white head. demitriustown (695), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2009 12 oz bottle: Aroma is bubble gum, orange, slight yeast, and some coriander. Appearance is a cloudy almost apple cider like look to it but a bit lighter and more yellow. Taste is bubble gum, coriander, light citrus and yeast. Palate is carbonated with a slight spicy aftertaste. Overall, he a pretty decent Hefe that not overly hoppy like Sierras Porter or Stout. Cheers! potbeercollege (361), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 21, 2009 Nice hazy light pumpkin orange. White head that lasts. Smells of fruit, specifically bananas. Nice light wheat smell. Tastes of fruits and spicy bananas. A little to sweet. blindeyedbetty (151), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2009 12 oz. bottle pours a rich, melted-buttery yellow, opaque with a creamy white head that leaves sparse, sticky lacing as it melts. Initial aroma is of stinky bellybutton lint (wtf IS that???) that warms up to a wheaty, spicy (corriander? cloves?) aroma. Hearty body with a malt and wheat front palate, a yeasty sort of middle and a finish of that spice again with just a touch of lemon. Nice hefe with good body and expanded palate that I didn’t expect. More complex but still an easy drink. Personally, I’d dig this with spaghetti with sausage-marinara sauce and a huge chunk of really garlicky garlic bread.
