Aug 3, 2009 Bottle. Murky gold. Short white head. Aroma is candied fruit, bubblegum, banana, light spice and wheat. Taste is strong banana and bubblegum with lemon, wheat, yeast, light spice, candied fruit and sweet malts. Very tasty! Body is light and bubbly. Refreshing on a warm evening! Ends with more sweet malts, yeast, wheat/grains, bubblegum, banana, and light spice. Nice hefeweizen!

Aug 3, 2009 bottle- yum. Love this beer. Love Sierra Nevada- this beer represents everything that SN does so well- flavorful, yet understated- beers of true character- not over the top, knock you in the face elements that drown out everything else in an otherwise good beer- this has yeast driven flavor characteristics that drive the beer without overwhelming it. This was admittedly not one of my favorite styles before, but I will seek it out now.

It’s clean, quality, and easy to drink. It has typical aromas and flavors, but it’s surprisingly smooth, and some would probably say it’s a bit light for the style.

Aug 2, 2009 12 oz bottle. pours a cloudy golden yellow with nice fluffy head. Aroma is grass, spice mainly cloves. Tasts is cloves hints of banana and citrus.Very refreshing and very drinkable. Probably one of the best american hefeweizens

Aug 2, 2009 This has to be the best American-made hefeweizen I’ve ever had. Poured into a weizen glass from a 12 oz bottle. Pale, cloudy yellow with a thick, pillowy white head, and heavy carbonation. Aromas of grass and citrus. Fizzy but watery consistency. Lemon flavor with a crisp hop finish, and some lingering bitterness. This is a well-balanced hefeweizen that compares favorably to the best German examples. I’d love to line this one up side-by-side with Weihenstephaner or Paulaner.

Aug 2, 2009 Cloves and bananas dominate this beer and I like it. Nice orange-ish color. Lovely spice aroma and the taste is great. I have had this on tap and bottled. Both are great.

Aug 2, 2009 Pours a cloudy straw color with a good size head. Strong banana aroma. Nice refreshing thirst quencher. Nice soft feel on the palate. Finally a true hefeweizen made in America.

Aug 2, 2009 Tasted 8/2/09. 12oz bottle. Activated pour produced two fingers of off-white head. Hazy and sedimented with a golden straw hue. Heady aromas of citrus and candy circus peanuts. Estery with a slight banana note. Medium bodied and rather soft. Silky complexion. Moderate yet tame effervescence. Good grainy cereal wheat note. Crisp finish. Trace hops. Mild spices. This is very easy on the palate! Super smooth and quenching. The banana lingers and shines in the finish. This is very nice!
