Oct 26, 2009 Bottle [12oz]. Pours a slightly hazy, bubbly gold with an average size somewhat-lasting fluffy white head. Slightly sweet aroma of banana, yeast and light spices. Mild, yeasty flavour along with light spices, sweet malt, wheat and banana (too much banana for me, but any banana is too much for me). Average bodied. A decent Hefe, though a bit too sweet and banana-ey for me but that’s a personal preference and not a knock on the beer.

Oct 23, 2009 Bottle (in NZ), pours a cloudy bright gold with a foamy white head. Cloves and a little banana, a touch metallic. A grainy palate, a good moderate dryness, with a lemons, pepper and cloves. An easy drinking Hefe.

Oct 23, 2009 bOTTLE. Pours cloudy orange with a large head. Smells promising. . .lots of coriander, banana, spice, and papery hops. It’s very tasteful and delicate, not at all blunt or candied. The flavor follows up excellently. It is remarkably similar to Weihenstephaner’s classic example of the style, but doesn’t quite live up to that legen. Still, complex depth of spices, grain, lemon, banana entertain my palate. This is a surprsing offering from Sierra Nevada. I love the brewery, but often when they stray from the standard PNW approach to brewing they falter. This ,however, is win.

Oct 22, 2009 Poured from 12 oz. according to directions. Golden yellow with white large foamy head.Nose of grass, lemon, bananas and spice. Tastes of banana, yeast, malt and lemon with good carbonation. Very enjoyable beer.
