This is absolutely brilliant, beautiful banana sweetness and very refreshing. Another winner from Sierra Nevada for sure.

Dec 18, 2009 pours a hazy straw yellow, the banana/clove jumps out at you. smooth in the mouth but seems to have more depth than other hefes i’ve had lately. yeast character is evident but suits the style.

A very decent waiss, bananas, fine body, but, on the other ahnd it is not a very exciting style. But the Kelelr part of it lifts the beer, some funky barnyard lifts the beer quite a bit.

Dec 17, 2009 Bottle. Hazy light yellow body, thin off-white head. Nose dominated by clove, banana, and bubble gum esters. Light, spritzy body with banana and clove and wet grass, relatively dry, yeast-dominated.

Dec 17, 2009 Pours a cloudy yellow gold with white pillowy head. Aroma is mostly cloves with a bit of banana, wheat, and grass. Taste is dry with a light tartness; flavors of bread and lemony citrus with very mild banana and clove presence. Light-medium body with a silky mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. I was expecting something more richly flavored but it’s not bad. Certainly very refreshing.

Dec 15, 2009 It’s unclear, yellow-golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of yeast, clove, light banana and wheat. The flavor is sweet and a bit perfumed with notes of yeast and especially clove, that doesn’t leave much room for notes of banana and wheat. OK interpretation, bit the clove is IMO a bit too dominating.

Dec 14, 2009 Pours a huge 4 finger white head. Body is a hazy yellow with tons of carbonation rising to surface. Head retention and lacing are good.
Aroma is of typical hefeweizen, wheat with fruity phenols. Cloves are also in there. Hops are not present.
Taste is of fruity, spicy yeast and wheat/ malt. Not getting too much clove or banana, very mild tasting. No hops are detected.
Mouth feel is good, not too highly carbonated. Light bodied but not watery. Head kinda faded halfway, wish it would have stayed.
Overall, it is a very sessionable beer. This is one of the best American attempts of the style, not the best in the world but nice to see Sierra Nevada making something not overly hoppy

Dec 14, 2009 12-oz bottle Albersons Lafayette, LA - Aroma: bubblegum, lemon (hop/yeast); Appearance: hazy, orange-golden color, minimal white head (not lasting), some laces; Flavor: sweet, salty (malt), slight sour, bubblegum, fruity esters of lemon, banana (yeast/hop); Mouthfeel: medium bodied, thin-oily texture, average carbonation, dry finish; Overall: the slight aromatics and malts are well balanced, small juicy beer with a refreshing slight long-zesty finish.
