Clear red brown coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Aroma of malts, caramel, rye bread and hops.
Malty flavour of caramel, cookies, hops and grass.
Dry hoppy finish. Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 5, 2009 Draft. A nut brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, and wood - very malty, leading to a dry roasted finish. A bit odd for an Oktoberfest, but nice. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 19, 2009 On tap at The Rake. Malty and sweet, some nice nutty malt flavours on finish. Yeah, it grew on me. hayduke (1619), Eureka, California, USA Oct 18, 2009 From a pitcher from a draft spigot at the Oktoberfest celebration at the local lngomar Club here in Eureka, CA this poured into the big dimpled mug a very deep copper color the tending almost toward brown. Small off-white head with light lacing. The nose on this was of lightly roasted malts with some aromas of fruit, flowers, and nuts. Very smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is dominated by the malts however there are obviously hops in the taste and it shows in the lightly bitter finish. This a very good Oktoberfest beer, and it is hard to realize you are drinking a lager. joeneugs (282), Livermore, California, USA Oct 18, 2009 On tap at the alehouse. Pours a nice dark brown/ruby color with a small off white head. Aroma is nutty, toasty, a bit metallic with some red fruit underneath. Pretty big flavor with spices, trail mix, subtle toasted quality and a very earthy bitter finish. I was in the mood for a real Oktoberfest beer, but I probably liked this better than any real one I would have had. BNSLY (43), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 8, 2009 Oct.09
on tap Aces and Ales. It has nice brown color. aroma of malt, hops, and spice. Flavor was malty in the beginning and some hops and spice in the finish. Leighton (234), New York, New York, USA Oct 6, 2009 Really good. Has a full body and a nice chestnut color. Nose of roasted malts. Flavor has pronouced malt backbone along with some nice bitterness. A mild hop presence gives the beer a crisp, smooth finish.
