Draught at Bishops Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear brown colour with a low beige foam. Sweetish and clean aroma of caramel and fudge. Medium-bodied with notes of caramel and fudge with soft hoppy notes of grass. Clean and caramely finish. Not much a like an Oktoberfest IMHO:

On tap at Microbar, Clapham, "Just a quick one" session, 18th Dec 08. The colour of brown ale with a good white head that leaves lace. Quite fresh palate and a clean taste. Light biscuit malt flavour. A bit underwhelming really.

On tap at the Red Wave Inn. Pours darker than expected with a nice fluffy head. tasted very bland before warming up. warming up lent a lot more toffee flavor and sweet malts. creamy body. still a little too bland, i was expecting a hoppy rendition since it’s SN but this was very balanced.

Good stuff. Has a nice brownish color to it. Has hints of malts and hops. Has nice flavor complimented with hops and malts. Nice aftertaste in the end as well.

Beautiful deep amber pour with a thin eggshell colored head. The nose is subtly sweet malt. The flavor is more complex, with light smoke and a nice bready finish.

Sweet with cherry flavor that fades into oak-ey alcohol maltiness. Great color and wonderful malt. Visually awesome burnt red when you hold it to the light. The malt really shines in this one, a wonderful Oktoberfest.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2008) Reddish amber colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty nose with notes of dried fruit, raisins and toast. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, dried fruit and raisins. Medium bitterness, slightly spicy hops. Rather sweet. Nice and tasty beer in the darker American oktoberfest style.
