Beautiful color of toasted chestnuts and well conditioned. Nice carafa and vienna malt nose with nots of roasted nuts and pralines. Full round mouthfeel with noticeable bittering hops. Clean and roasted finish.

(draft @ MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY) Copper color with a creamy and lasting white head. Great lacing. Aroma is light and malty with some sweetness. Flavor has a good malt flavor with some sweetness and bitterness at the end. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and lingering.

Draft. Clear brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body. Medium balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.

Draft Fox and Hound, Memphis Tn: Very nice spicy aroma to this beer. I smelled pepper and cloves all the way. Poured a beautiful amber color with a tan head. Taste just like it smelled with hints of hops and some malt also. This was a nice beer on a cool fall afternoon. I found it to be bit too carbinated, but overall was a damn fine beer.

Kennett Brewfest and again at Newtown Brewfest. Pours a nice light amber with a good off white lasting head. Aorma is nutty and bready amlts with some caramel sweetness, but overall it is subdued compared to others that I like. Lighter flavor of some bready malts, light crystal malts some vienna or light munich toastiness, and a clean bitter finish. Easy drinking and nice, but just a bit on the weaker side of a good O-fest.

Draft at Green Leafe Williamsburg; Medium amber with only a thin top (maybe the bartender’s technique). Only a hint of any aroma. Nice little hoppy bitterness gives this a nice edge. I drank a few of these.

Sampled with Stegosaurus and Beerded_one at Newtown Brewfest. Pours a coppery color with small head. Didn’t notice much of an odor. Thin in body and in taste. I like this company but they don’t make a real good Octoberfest.
