Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

12oz bottle. Pours a bright, clear golden-orange color; think off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing; attractive pour aside from the smallish head formation. Very strong, juicy citrus and fruity hop character in the aroma; dense, oily, and resiny hop presence; generous, pleasant nose. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: loads of earthy, citrus, and fruity hops from the beginning: follows the aroma closely with oily, juicy, almost wet-hop character throughout; great pale ale; ideal carbonation; very drinkable and very generous for such ubiquity. Long finish: fruity, slightly earthy hops, and a long, long pleasant bitterness; great beer.

This has an overall citrussy nose, with light spice and honey notes. The hops are less citrussy, but more herbal in the flavour. A light creaminess on the palate pairs well with the nutty caramel malts; still, this is well-carbonated, with a pronounced but not too heavy bitterness. Surprisingly a slight alcoholic burn too. Nice malt complexity, nice hops, nice brew!

Golden. Thick white/beige head. Potent fresh aroma - citrus, pine. heavily hopped both for the lemon zest flavor and a long lasting bitternes. undertoned sweetness. Medium carbonation. Recommended, but their anniversary ale is even better!

Bottled. Orange. Thick light tan head that thins quickly but remains. Alcoholic smell along with aromatic notes of grassy/earthy along with sweeter light fruity hop notes. Dry the whole way through with lasting bitter finish. Sweet tastes seem dulled by bitterness. This is always the best beer in any gas station almost without question.

A solid brew from a good brewery. One of the first definitive American Pales... nicely done, SN.

The perfect craft brew? This is just a fabulous, polished brew. I never get tired of it. Lots of hoppy bitterness, but very balanced.
