Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Shared with Donfardz 64 and Demise at Eureka in dunedin - their last bottle! Nose like a tripel. Quite a lot of orange. Very nice... Caramel, sugary. Almost a hint of belgian yeast... Not too sure about that! Earthy hops, or just subdued from age. Nice piny hops, although subtle. Finishes bitter, somewhat sugary. Quite nice. I think the bottle is a bot too old, though.

a darker gold colored, slightly hazy beer with a white head that dissapears quickly smells a bit of gewürztraminer-grapes, of sweat, bittersweetish tasts of gewürztraminer, hops, bittersweetnwss, aftertaste is first bittersweet, then bitterness grows more strong the gewürztraminer hint remains me of brooklyn lager

I drank this from the bottle into a chalice. The beer pours a dark gold, almost orange with a decent white head that stays for awhile. There is good lacing. It smells light and hoppy with a tad bit of citrus. This taste like your typical pale ale, light, hops and citrus with a bitter end.

Pours copper with a rich off-white head. Big citrus hop bouquet up front with hints of caramel malt on the nose. Definitely hop forward but with a nice malt backbone. Hoppy finish, lean body. Highly drinkable. Definitely sets the standard, if not the bar, for the style.

Bottle. Pours dark golden or light amber, depending on how you look at it. Off-white head. Aroma is very hoppy, of the floral variety. Flavor is sweet floral hops with a slightly milder finish, not metallic at all like other pale ales I’ve had. How could such a widely distributed beer be rated so well? It’s a good beer!

Pours a pretty shade of amber, with a 1 finger head. Aroma of hops and some citrus. Light fruity flavor with a decent hop kick that finishes slightly bitter but not overwhelmingly. Crisp and well balanced with a good mouth feel. My tastes tend to lean more to Stouts, but this beer is going to make me spend more time exploring PA’s and IPA’s I think. I really enjoyed this beer.

This poured a well-carbonated copper colour with a generous foamy white head which left some lacing as it departed. Aroma was a nice balance of hops and barley. Taste was crisp and clean; this would make a good session beer, if only it were available on this side of the border.
