Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Bottle. Pours dark golden or light amber, depending on how you look at it. Off-white head. Aroma is very hoppy, of the floral variety. Flavor is sweet floral hops with a slightly milder finish, not metallic at all like other pale ales I’ve had. How could such a widely distributed beer be rated so well? It’s a good beer!

Pours a pretty shade of amber, with a 1 finger head. Aroma of hops and some citrus. Light fruity flavor with a decent hop kick that finishes slightly bitter but not overwhelmingly. Crisp and well balanced with a good mouth feel. My tastes tend to lean more to Stouts, but this beer is going to make me spend more time exploring PA’s and IPA’s I think. I really enjoyed this beer.

This poured a well-carbonated copper colour with a generous foamy white head which left some lacing as it departed. Aroma was a nice balance of hops and barley. Taste was crisp and clean; this would make a good session beer, if only it were available on this side of the border.

Love this beer. Aroma is HOPS! with a some earthy notes and a smidge of malt. Appearance is golden with a great off white head. Flavor is abundant hops and not much else. Some earthy notes here and there with a bit of sweetness but greatly hops driven. Goes down smooth but its got that bite that make me keep coming back for more. Overall, it’s good, damn good. Even me dear ol dad liked it, and he’s a bit of a stiff.

Pours with a full head, white and thick. The smell of hops is evident, definately Cascade. The color is a light burnt orange. Bready and a little grainy in the mouthfeel, with a whack of citrus hops in the back of the throat. Good balance between hops and grain...this is the beer that made me want to brew my own years ago and it is still consistent and well made.

Overall Impression: The classic Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is one of those beers my opinion on has changed many times over the years. Sometimes I think it is a really nice brew, sometimes I like it a lot less, right now I’m thinking of it as pretty average, but this opinion may change again the next time I have a bottle.

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, flowers, malt and caramel. Notes of citrus and straw.
