Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Not sure why they list the volume at 354ml instead of 355ml. The beer pours a translucent golden orange colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, some pine, and citrusy hops. The mouthfeel is very light and thin with medium high carbonation. The flavour is slightlky sweet with ample grapefruity hoppy bitterness.

Bottle from local supermarket in Raleigh, NC. Pours with decent off white diminishing head. Leaves some lacing on the glass. Very clear golden colour. Plesant hoppy aroma. Beautifully balanced and soft on the palate for the style. Just enough bitterness and no bitter aftertaste. This is the best readily available beer I’ve come accros to date. Wish it was available in SA!

Not bad for Sierra Nevada. Typical Pale Ale with a nice hop bill. Not a bad beer.

Decent head and lacing on this pour. Alot of hops in the aroma. Maybe a little too much. Same for the flavor. A decent body on this brew, but the hops seem to overpower anything else that might be there.

[Bottle] Had this many times, but never got around to rating it. Pours a clear amber with a small, soapy white head. Aroma is slightly musty, some grassy and floral hops. Not a ton of citric character on the nose. Flavor is about what you’d expect for a pale ale - not a whole lot of malt, dry hoppiness, slightly bitter finish. This is basically the defining beer for the style.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellars Wine & Spirits just before they closed. Pours a clear golden amber brew with a nice off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus zest, a hint of caramel/munich malt, some soft pine and grassy hops. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of Munich style malt, grassy and cirtusy hops, and a touch of green vegetable. Finish is semi-dry and the Cascade hops really comes out in the finish.

Bottle, Rehills, Newcastle. Wow! This is impressive. Fine hoppy, floral aroma, with a good amount of citrus (possibly grapefruit...) that isn’t overpowering. Nice balanced sharpness, which lingers on the tongue and becomes more rounded. Touch of dryness on the roof of the mouth. Another great rediscovery, having not tried this for a good few years. I’ll definitely be buying more..........

Pale amber color. Nice hop/malt balance in the nose, citrus fruit and hops. Begins malt sweet then all grapefruity hops. Finishes lond dry and crisp. I like this one
