Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Bottle - Pours a nice golden amber with a medium high head. Nose is Citrus and hops. Flavor is fantastic, everything I could want in an APA, nice medium citrus flavor with a hoppy finish. Citrus aftertaste that lingers very nicely. One thing that I love about Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is level of carbonation. This is an A+ APA

Overrated. Weak head, weak lacing. Goes flat after a few days. The hops are there, but the flavor leaves much to be desired.

Tasted from bottle @ VBPF on 25.04.09. Hazy orange-amber color, off-white head. Aroma hops, malts, some fruits. Medium body. Taste little sweet malts, fruits, nice hopsbitterness.

Bottle - Wow...expected a lot more out of this beer. Recently had the Great Lakes pale and that blew this away. Pours a light amber with a very small white head. The smell is nice -- light citrus hops, clean and crisp. Taste is pretty meh, with sweet, almost sugary grain and dry hops on the initial taste. I swear someone dropped a ground-up Smarties candy in this bottle. The dry finishing hops just aren’t my style, and linger for a while on the back of the tongue. It’s pretty light bodied with some sharp carbonation -- not the most refreshing beer for a style that should be.

Great looking, smelling, and tasting beer. I’d probably have to say this is one of the best American Pale Ales that I’ve had.
