Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Bottle - Wow...expected a lot more out of this beer. Recently had the Great Lakes pale and that blew this away. Pours a light amber with a very small white head. The smell is nice -- light citrus hops, clean and crisp. Taste is pretty meh, with sweet, almost sugary grain and dry hops on the initial taste. I swear someone dropped a ground-up Smarties candy in this bottle. The dry finishing hops just aren’t my style, and linger for a while on the back of the tongue. It’s pretty light bodied with some sharp carbonation -- not the most refreshing beer for a style that should be.

Great looking, smelling, and tasting beer. I’d probably have to say this is one of the best American Pale Ales that I’ve had.

Pours luminous amber with hint of gold and thick white head. Nose is fresh with citrus hops, and some pine. Palate offers a nice balance of malt with hop bitterness that yields an amazingly drinkable ale that leans to the hoppy side of things. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Pours amber with a medium white head. A showcase for Cascade hops and plenty of them here. The nose is grapefruit, citrus and pine needles. The flavour is malt, citrus and pine hops. Medium bodied, great carbonation and a good clean mouthfeel. Crisp, bitter finish. A classic.

Aroma is hops, hops, hops! Pours golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Hops are toned down a bit in the flavor, but still king of this beer. Also some citrus and a strong grapefruit flavor. Dry crisp finish with medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is light with plenty of carbonation.

Not sure why they list the volume at 354ml instead of 355ml. The beer pours a translucent golden orange colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, some pine, and citrusy hops. The mouthfeel is very light and thin with medium high carbonation. The flavour is slightlky sweet with ample grapefruity hoppy bitterness.

Bottle from local supermarket in Raleigh, NC. Pours with decent off white diminishing head. Leaves some lacing on the glass. Very clear golden colour. Plesant hoppy aroma. Beautifully balanced and soft on the palate for the style. Just enough bitterness and no bitter aftertaste. This is the best readily available beer I’ve come accros to date. Wish it was available in SA!
