Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Excellent hoppy aroma. Great balance of hoppiness, bitterness and light citrus flavors. Highly drinkable and refreshing. A great standard APA.

(bottle from Tesco’s, Diss) Poured a clear bubbly amber/golden colour with a great large white head which lasdted the whole way. Smells of hops, citrus, orange, but not particularly strong. Taste is a huge bitterness with a great dry finish. Elements of citrus with a hint of vanilla and perhaps caramel? Hops are devine in this beer, and the well carbonated (but not over the top) sharp mouthfeel can only add to it. A really great pale ale.

I now see why this is such a highly rated American Pale. Nose doesn’t offer too much but the mouth is divine. Fruit, flowers and absolutely delicious hops instantly fill the mouth. The way the 3 of these mesh together is an absolute art. They play lead vocals while a delicious tender caramel quietly is heard in the background adding for perfect balance to this extremely well crafted beer. The finish is a perfect fade. One of the finest flavour profiles I’ve tasted from a North American micro-brew. I wish the nose offered more but it was likely just the sniffle I’ve been battling. I’ll definitely give this one another shot in sake of this!

One of my all-time favourites and one of the first non-macro beers I drank regularly. Amber ale with decent head. Floral and spicy nose. Hoppy taste with some caramel. Nice prickly mouthfeel. A great session beer.

12oz bottle. Multiple tastings. This is one of the better widely available ales. Very drinkable. Good hop taste. Can’t go wrong with anything from Sieera Nevada.

Aroma was nice and floral, could have used a little more kick. Good size head that stuck around for a bit with good carbonation, rusty colored beer. Flavor has some medium hop (IBUs seemed more like 25 to me), perhaps a bit of caramel, but not a very noticeable amount. Fizzy palate with an alcohol tinge to wrap things up. If SIerra Nevada could pump up the hops on this one, they would have a real contender.

Bottle. Pours a pale amber color with a white head. Aroma of hops slight mild malts and pine. Flavor was pretty typical of a pale ale, nice big hop flavor. Nice, this or guinness, in a pinch at a macro-based bar. Solid mass-produced pale ale.

Bottle. Pours dark amber color with creamy light-tan color head. Aroma: very hoppy. Good carbonation. Biting flavor, with a strong bitter aftertaste.
