Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

(bottle) Pours amber with a small dense head. Nice hoppy aroma and a clean malt flavour with a nice lingering hop finish.

Bottle. Aroma of hops and spices and some citrus. Smooth with little bitterness. Not quite a session pale ale for me.

Fairly light on the palate, finishes with a bit of bitterness, but not too much.

This one gets a lot of press, but not so smooth or easy to drink as I’d like. Just enough roughness around the edges to not be mainstream, but also just enough to not be a good drink for me.

bottle from total wine in norfolk. pours a clear amber with little to no head and zero lacing. aroma is very similar to apple cider with the slightest touch of hops and citrus. actually quite pleasing and refreshing. flavor is mild hops with citrus flavors of lemon zest, orange, with a bit of roasty malt and some mild bitterness. palate is light and refreshing and very easy to drink. overall, a decent APA that makes a good session beer.

Poured orangey amber with a medium head. Strong aroma of hops, hints of citrus and orange. very hoppy but well balanced and smooth. Goes down really easy. Can’t drink only 1. *Also frequently buy this in sixtels for my kegerator. Dosn’t last very long!

Big white head. Fruity aroma evident during pour. Perfectly clear toffee/amber hue. Lots of fine carbonation. Leaves loads of lacing all the way down the glass. Sweet grapefruit aroma, presumably from cascade or similar hops. Strong malty smell. Nice cascade hop hit, but would have expected more hoppiness from an APA. Nice malty bite, but next to no bitterness. Rather thin, but nice carbonation. Would have liked something a bit more interesting, but overall very drinkable.

bottle - pour into pint glass. nice golden amber color. frothy white head dominates the glass. somewhat milddoughy aroma, with an over flow of hops. nice subtle hoppy flavor upfront mild aftertaste, good full body. what a standard ale should be .
