Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear, golden/amber with a nice foamy head. Aroma characterized by oak and hops. Flavor is hoppy with a bit of citrus and smooth malts on the back to balance. Medium bodied with a fair amount of carbonation. The taste of hops lingers afterwards. Exceptional drinkability since this beer can be found in virtually any bar.

Bottled. Didn’t have a glass so I drank it out of the bottle. Couldn’t get a lot of aroma. Slight cascade aroma. Flavor was pretty good. Refreshing. Bitter for an APA, but I like bitter so it was nice. Finish is slightly malty. Good brew. Definite repeat buy.

bottle. Awesome bouquet nose. Features a full flavor that starts sweet with much fruit, then finishes with a touch of hop bitterness. Always nice, especially if you can get this at restaurants on the west coast that don’t specialize in beer.

Bottle. Wow! For the true hop lovers only. No balance at all. Strait hop, but capable of a clean, or even slight creamy finish? Unmistakable and American, not for the faint of heart.

Bottle. Pours a wonderful sunset gold color with a medium off-white head and busy carbonation. Aroma is citrus with flloral notes and strong hints of hops. Hoppy flavor predominates with citrus/floral tones. Love that hops! Good mouthfeel. I first fell in love with this brew when I visited the brewery in Chico, CA, about 15 years ago. This brew goes well with a good ham & swiss cheese sandwich on sourdough bread, along with a mixed green salad.

Great bitterness, average head, decent aroma. Quite tasty if you like a bitter finish. I do.

Bottle thanks to IrishBoy, been looking forward to this one since I read How to Brew! Pours a slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour with a nice thick off-white head. Nose is hoppy, mostly citrus with a little bit of caramel in the background. Flavour is a bit more malty than the smell, pretty sweet, with hints of caramel. Finish is a bit of hop bitterness. The overall flavour is very citrusy, especially orange, and fairly sweet. Mouthfeel is kind of weird, not really thick, but not really watery either. Carbonation seems to be about right, or maybe just a touch low. Not a bad beer, great to drink on a hot afternoon like today.
