Veru much the same as the bootles version, perhaps even a bit fresher hop aroma, and a bit softer mouthfeel. Bigmmartin (375), Dayton, Ohio, USA

It was also one of my first craft beer experiences. It’s a familiar favorite. The bottle is excellent, but I love this beer on draft.
The color is dark golden amber color with a clean thin head. The aroma is mainly hops, with some malt. The flavor is hoppy, with nice malt backbone. Has a wonderful sweet malt and bitter hop balance. Simple, but clean, crisp, and refreshing.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 9, 2008 When I had this last night, my first thought was: "this tastes better than I remembered". Makes sense now that I know they are two different versions. Pours a dark amber with a small tan head that fades. The aroma is a bit weak but still hoppy. This beer has a malty nuttty backbone that pulls through after the initial monster floral hop taste. Semi-bitter finish. I certainly prefer the draft over the bottle, but neither are overly impressive to me. FishManLA (300), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Gold/Brass color with not much head. A little lacing. Clean and simple nose of malt. Well hopped taste and hoppy finish. The taste and finish of this beer leans toward an IPA or a bitter. Good stuff. jazzlsx (1), USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | May 31, 2008 This is by far and above my favorite beer. It’s excellent out of the bottle, but it’s amazing on draft. WesKBob (321), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA

I’d had SN in the bottle before, and this one seemed to be somewhat smoother and slightly less hoppy. Sweeter and more flowery and less bitter. Smooth drinking and, as the poster below me mentioned, a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. joebudzjoe (232), Connecticut, USA
