Poured deep rusty orange, decent foamy white head. Very hoppy and citrusy aroma, some floral notes, quite nice. The flavour hits you all hops off the top, which I loved, and makes way for a smooth sweetness and rich malty balance. I’d had high hopes for this one and it didn’t disappoint! And, I made it back to the ship with.. minutes to spare. zguiliano (16), USA

A little hops and malts, but it was mostly florals, mostly lilac. Not exactly my taste. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Has good lacing. Nose is citrusy/floral hops. Little caramel taste with citrus and floral hops. A bit think mouthfeel-wise, but pretty good overall. Very sessionable pale. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Pours an amber orange with a small foamy white head that laces nicely. A mild floral hoppy nose, but not really a whole lot. Some flowery hops in the flavor with some decent malt to balance it out. Not a whole lot of body, but really a light refreshing beer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Nothing to complain about here. Its well-balanced flavor and wide availability will make this a go-to beer for me. I will make it a point to try the bottled. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2008 After having both the bottled and draft versions many times, I have to agree with the majority that the bottled version does taste a tad bit better and really draws you in with a hoppier nose - this one is a tad bit subdued relative to its close sibling. Still a classic! Angeloregon (2036), Portland, Oregon, USA

Spicy, grainy, and mildly bitter. Well balanced and highly session-worthy. This is the pale ale, alongside Mirror Pond from Deschutes that I measure most up against.
