Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color. Foamy head about an eighth inch high. No appreciable aroma. Mild carbonation and the fizz that is present is slightly creamy. Finish builds slowly to medium hops. OK for a pale ale. Typical western coast Sierra Nevada. I guess I have to now try the bottled version since they are listed as two different beers, how curious! rjizzle (6), California, USA does not count | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/20 | Aug 13, 2007 nice and crisp but it tasted an smelled like pine needles. a good beer to drink with dinner Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

Gold body with off white head. Flavor has a sweet malt backbone along with a mild bitterness which was good for me. Smooth and refreshing beer on a hot day. dmnsavage (3), California, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 27, 2007 This was the first beer that I ever had and remains among my favourites. Its crisp flavour, hoppy nose and taste, and light airy head preclude a rich and even mouthfeel with a pleasant finish. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
