| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Aroma of floral hop backed by caramel malt. Full amber color; head was filmed upon delivery. Medium bodied; moderate carbonation. Starts with malt, and it is firmly there. A little hop, arguably with citrus, comes along. The finish is only moderately bitter, not quite dry. The bitter does tend to build in the mouth though. keepersj12 (815), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

It is a nice, transparent, golden-orange color with a lasting, large off-white head. The aroma and flavor each have a brown sugar and light caramel maltiness harmonious paired with a level, citrus-pine hop bitterness. Everything is quite well balanced including the finish, aftertaste, and mouthfeel. Although there are other Pale Ales that I prefer over Sierra Nevada, this one is still holding its ground well and a good standby overall.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Gold-orange color with a medium white head and some lacing. Not much aroma. Taste is malty with a small hop bite. Some brown sugar and a hint of citrus in there. Decent beer, but better from the bottle. Something not quite right about the body, perhaps a bit too syrupy. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Had on draft for this rating. Smell was heavy on the hops along with a piney citrus. Had a nice crisp taste. The hop flavor really came through along with the malted barley. Derek881 (502), Frederick, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Sampled on draft in Kona, Hawaii. The beer has a nice, rich amber-orange color with a good sized foamy, white head. The aroma is mostly hops, some floral and citrus notes, and a bit of malt. It is a mostly bitter beer with sourness, and only light sweetness. It has a rich, wet body with average carbonation and a thicker texture. nightrider (383), encinitas, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Nice amber in appearance. Little aroma. Flavors of thin hops and thin malt. Very little complexity and weak length of finish. tastes mass produced. Not bad but give me a Stone Pale Ale any day fidemaster (172), USA
