| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 25, 2007 Now that I think of it, the draft version is very subtle compared to the bottle. Aroma is sweet maltiness with small hops. A reddish brown color. Flavor is mostly malt followed by small hops: citrus and pine. Easy to drink. Better than most beers you find on tap almost everywhere. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

I don’t like this as much as the bottled version. Hoppy bite and aroma are much more subdued. Still a solid APA. Nate (2558), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 22, 2007 On tap at Amici’s in Ebensburg. Before reading some other reviews here, I thought I perhaps got a bad pour or the lines were messed up. Definitely not the same animal as in the bottles. Mild hoppy aroma, with a bit of citrusy character. Mild sweetness. Cloudy, with some yeasty goodness on the bottom, and a thin off-white head. Medium watery body with medium gassy carbonation. Starts a bit more watery and subdued, with mild maltiness but more of a sourish tang to it. Dry chalky bitterness in the finish, not overly harsh or anything, just more from the dregs, I think. Nothing remarkable one way or the other, really, but I enjoyed this on tap. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2007 On tap at Big Fish in Princeton. The beer pours lighter on tap than from the bottle...a more yellow color on tap. They poured it into a pilsner glass, so that may have contributed to the weaker aroma. The beer did seem more watered down than it’s bottled brother. This was still a better choice than the other beers that they were offering on tap. CaptainCougar (5520), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2007 On tap at O’Briens on 11/30/06: Pours a mostly still amber bronze color with a thin ring of white head. Earthy, grainy European malty aroma has some floral Saaz hoppy notes. Body starts lightly caramely sweet and with some fresh earthy piny hops toward a drier, duller finish. A pretty unimpressive beer. graham515 (430), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2007 As I had heard, this beer is a bit weaker on the tap, but I actually enjoyed that about it. It’s got a really fresh piney aroma with some sweet citrus in there. The taste is hoppy with a nice solid malt backbone. The cascades are very nice. littlecarp (128), Redding, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Sharp aroma that has strong citrus/pine notes. The flavor is mostly pine and a bit difficult to choke down after a few sips. Not a fan. DrHomolka (728), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 3, 2007 Had this on tap to compare to the bottle which I’ve had countless times. Has an incredibly similar appearance, aroma, and flavor as the bottle. The only discernable difference, if there is one at all, is that the draft version seemed a bit more watery to me. I’m pretty sure the bottle has more flavor but then again it could just be placebo. Still a great beer.
