Good clarity and head retention. Mild citrus hop nose - - - used to remember this as more pronounced when SNPA was the Pale Ale king! Still nice citrus notes and the flavor has malt with an slightly aggressive hop profile. Medium body, to style. An old standby. Wegro (223), Fresno, California, USA

Smoother than the bottled version, looks nicer in the glass, too. not as refreshing as the bottled version but it still gets the job done.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 9, 2007 Pours a gorgeous sprakling light copper/amber with a nice medium off white head which settles to a thin falm and lasts a long while... while leaving nice lace
Nose of clean grapefruity and spicy hops with a nice background malt (slight toasty note)
Flavor: I am thinking balance... starts with nice firm hop bite with soft fruits, grapefruit and spice with honeyed malts leading to a nice dry hoppy finish which is not astringent... nicely (there’s that word again) balanced
Overall: Ubiquity has not dulled this gem... Cheers Sierra Nevada... ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 28, 2007 On tap at the Corner Bar, Minneapolis. Served by a fantastic looking bartendress... Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with maybe a quarter inch of white foam. Moderate lacing. Nice citrus and floral hop aroma.
Really nice citrus hop bitterness is showcased in this beer – with flavors of grapefruit and orange blossom. Underneath, the malt is prominent enough to stand up to those hops. If you look for it, here’s just a touch of grainy honeymalt flavor in there as well. Finishes dry and hoppy.
Not quite medium body and great carbonation make for a very smooth drinking ale. henrikb (1305), Aarhus, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2007 Beautiful very creamy thick head, leaving a little lacing, very clear amber body; Very pleasant nose, lots of pineapple hoppy aromas; soft textured body, soft carbonation, balanced, could be deeper but is very pleasant; long finish, with a little sharp carbonation, a little bitterness, lots of hop-sack aromas. Very, very drinkable, great beer.
