I haven’t had a Sierra Pale on Draft in a while, but this rating is from (I believe) 2006, sure would like to update it, and will next time I try a draft one... blutt59 (2146), Dallas, Texas, USA

Although on draft it still smokes about 99% of beers on the market, get a bottle instead and pour into a cold pint glass. Mmmmm. snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Cask at Elysian’s SBW Firkin-Firkin throwdown (vs. Walking Man Knuckle Dragger). Pours slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Weak, slightly skunky aroma of floral and citrus hops. These hops are there along with some caramel in the taste, which is thankfully not skunky. Watery mouthfeel and no bitterness in the finish. I couldn’t believe how awful this was after hearing some people rave about it. Seemed like it was such a thrill that someone managed to get a cask of this stuff that no one noticed that it wasn’t good. I’d rather have a bottle. flatmatt (224), Northville, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2009 On tap. Pours golden amber with a white head. Pleasant citrus and floral aroma. Flavor is citrusy hops, a bit of floral hops, and a moderate bitterness along with a pretty solid biscuity malt profile. A bit metallic at times. A solid enough pale ale. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Draft at Beer Bourbon and BBQ Festival in Richmond VA on 5-30-09. Ruddy amber. Short off-white head. Nose is hoppy and floral with grassy notes, light earthy hops and caramel. Soft malt as well. Taste is hoppy with spicy/grassy notes, toasted malt, light caramel, toffee and citrus. Body is medium with light oily notes. Carbonation is moderate and bubbly. Ends with more citrus, pine, toasted malt and caramel. Always a solid choice for a session style ale.
