Sep 24, 2006 A dark golden pur with a tinge of red to it. A slightly off white lite head with a clinging lacing. An aroma of citrusy hops greets you first and formost. A flavor of hops first then you get traces of fruitiness like oranges and then malt. Carbonation is just a little much but not really bad. A tiny bit of a watery plate still a damn fine beer. A good hop bitter on the finish that is what I think is just right for the style.

Sep 19, 2006 Draft poured a deep pale color with a small off white head. The aroma had some citrus hops and caramel malts along with the proprietary Sierra Nevada yeast strain. The taste had a small amount of bitterness with more of the malt standing out. Overall a good pale, but I think I prefer the bottle version.

Sep 17, 2006 Draught @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Pale amber colour with a white head. Malty hoppy aroma with some hints of citrus.Sweet malty and hoppy flavor with some hints of citrus. Long hoppy aftertaste.

Sep 16, 2006 on tap at Pepper’s Pizza in Chapel Hill, NC. wanted to get a hop devil but they were out. had to settle for an old favorite. this was my introduction to the hop. this and harpoon ipa. nose is hoppy, grassy, a little spice. flavor is hops, pale malts, a little spice, a little alcohol all with a pleasent palate. Quite quaffable.

Pale amber coloured, thick white bubbly head. Spicy and hoppy aroma. Citrousy and fresh. Flavour is malty and hoppy with a little nuttyness in the background. Slightly dry.

Aug 25, 2006 Draft at the State Theater, Falls Church VA. Delicious beer with a vibrant red/brown hue. Very pleasant light floral aroma. Tastes of citrus and pineapple with some spice and a judicious use of hops. Felt solid in the mouth with a foamy feel and great aftertaste. No worse as it warms up, I would definitely get this again.

Aug 14, 2006 Draught at The Rake, Borough. I had no idea that this was separate from the bottled version. As you would expect, hoppy with decent malt. Extremely drinkable with that distinctive SN hop profile. It doesn’t get too cloying or sweet which is a good thing as it means you can drink more of it.
