| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 29, 2006 Draft. Less hoppy and less body than the bottled version from a side-by-side comparison. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Flavor more floral with some caramel backing. Easy to drink, but not as interesting as the bottled. hayden1215 (305), Ohio, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2006 I’m not too fond of SNPA in the bottle but I rather enjoyed it from the tap. Had a bit more of a hop bite, which I enjoy. Bitter in the beginning, while balancing out to a smooth sweet finish. mcnally (114), Burbank, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2006 Tap at PF Chang’s China Bistro. Some caramel sweetness up front, followed by a long, light hoppy finish. I’m somewhat new to American pale ales, but I guess they are considerably more hopped than their English cousins. Beer left a nice lacing on the glass. rederic (1816), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2006 On tap at Redbones in Somerville, bright amber-orangeish color, with an off-white head, nice floral hop orange fruitiness, caramelized malt, even a peachy resiny note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a mild hop fruitiness, and an orangeish flavor, flowery hops, caramel malt accent, leading towards a nice cascade floral hop bitterness finish. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2006 had a couple of pints of this last night and was very surprised today to see a separate listing for the draft version of this brew!?! I’ve had this bottled several times and I thought this was just a bit better. some floral hops and caramel backbone, and while decent, thought both could have been stronger and more flavorful. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2006 Severe clear copper colored draft with a minimal head. Nice spice, plum and cherry taste characteristics followed by a subtle hop finish. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 25, 2006 Draught. Clear, golden body with a fluffy, moderately sized head. Fairly hoppy nose full of cascade-esque hops. Piney, bitter and full of grapefruit rind. Some light grains and very light caramel sweetness is noticeable as well. The body is fairly light and crisp with healthy carbonation and a light weight on the tongue. The flavor is mild and crisp, with light sweetness and a fairly substantial bitterness. While definitely not watered down SNPA, it’s got a more mild, sessionable element to it, at least to my tastes. Tasty and enjoyable and conspiciously choosing to ignore the bigger is better motto.
