i would say this is one of the best widely available beers. its a very good beer, but nothing really special. something standard for a party or a game. can’t go wrong.

Drank on tap most recently, but it’s decent in the bottle as well. Well balanced, somewhat light taste.

(Draft) Pours a deep golden body with a large off-white head. Aroma of light citrus, florals, and caramel. Mldly hoppy flavor.

On tap, The Abbey Tavern, San Francisco. Seems pretty thin grounds for a separate rating. Glad to do it though, this is a benchmark American beer and still made at the highest standards. Golden orange, lots of hops in aroma and taste, thin mouthfeel. This beer was available everywhere on tap in the city which was nice to see, even in places where you would only expect to find macro’s (even in bottles on the boat to Alcatraz!). I thought it was even better than in the bottles, or I was just really thirsty. Either way, thumbs up.

A benchmark American Pale Ale. Nice blance between bitterness, aroma and malt. Nice hoppy and dry finish. Excellent and it’s been around for so long I tend to forget how good it is.

This is just one solid pale ale, whether bottled or on draft. Luckily, it’s available all over the place in Las Vegas, and I get this baby just about every time I get stuck in an unoriginal bar/casino.

Draught. Dark copper colour, small creamy white head. Slightly watery and slightly hoppy flavour. Quite nice, but could have more character. 5 3 6 3 14

Cask at GBBF08. Very nice grassy hop aroma. Clear copper colour, small frothy head. The flavour is also nicely hoppy, grassy and slightly caramelly with a little hop bite in the finish. 8 3 7 3 16
