Initial slightly grassy, bitter edge to sip, followed by a too-fat, sweetish body. Almost a little greasy. A slight bit of savory (amino acid makes its way in here). Overwhelmingly, the character is of sweetness, honey and flowers. Finishes with thick mouthfeel and a pleasantly tingling, spicy bitterness. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 2, 2004 Fresh gold color, with white head. Faint hop, light malt, and a clean flavor. Medium weight, with crisp but lingering finish. Apple flavor though not off, it’s more like a light fruit, with a slightly bitter finish. Not bad, not great, would rather have it on tap. Grainy malt aroma with a bit of an initial hop bite. Taste is slightly smoky and sweet with lingering flavors of malt and wheat. Slightly hoppy and clean tasting. Nice lively mouthfeel and light to medium bodied. Not worth a second pint of but worth a try once. motelpogo (4395), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2004 Draought Falling Rock creamy head almost looks and feels like it was poured from a nitro tap...brass color. Malty nose, delicate floral character honey as well. Creamy honey laced malts, nice crisp malty finish with a bit of Euro-hop spice...kinda like Summerfest on steroids...Fairly dry aftertaste. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2004 On tap at Falling Rock: Bright gold and as clear as glass; thinnish, but nice and creamy head with light lace patterns. Rich texture with a healthy amount of carbonation ... satiating. Its base had a nice smoothness to it. Malts were rather pronounced -- bready, wholesome, grainy, and nutty, with some notes of wheat. Hops provided quite a bit of bitterness -- grassy, earthy, and a little herbal. Bitterness built in the aftertaste and left behind hints of citrus, mainly grapefruit. Underlying sweetness is definitely there, but carbonation and bitterness cleaned it out well.
