12oz bottle. A solid example of a good porter. While not spectacular it is still a very drinkable beer and true to the style. Coffee, chocolate, smoke, all the flavors you want in a porter with nothing over the top.

Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, citrus fruit. Flavor is smooth roasted malt, light coffee, and a little bitterness. Very smooth and easy to drink.

355ml bottle from Trader Joes Indianapolis. The pour is dark with a small head. Aroma is soft malt. Flavour is a bit mild actually, and the mouthfeel a bit light. I was expecting more. It’s ok, but I wouldn’t recommend it, there are much better porters out there.

This dark brown ale poured with a decent beige head and a treacle aroma. The flavor is roasted malt with some coffee and raisin. There is enough hopping to provide a thick bitter finish.

Brown with a rich beige head, moderate lacing. Watery nose of chocolate, roast, faint licorice, slight hop contributions as well in citrus. Flavor has more hop, which through nice contrast highlights the rich malts. Creamy, light body with beautiful carbonation, chewy finish in malt and slight milk chocolate warmth. This is so basic, but in the simplicity do you see the beauty of a porter.

Flaske: Sort øl med et lille skum. Duft af brændt malt og sødme, nærmest kvalmt men klassisk porter. SMagen er dominret af en meget livlig perlende karbonation med små bobler, den søde malt træder frem igen.
