| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2008 A smooth and very drinkable porter. There’s not much to be critical of here; This beer is strong in all characteristics. Nevertheless, it’s lacking something that I can’t quite put my finger on. Soul? Maybe. In any event it’s good, hearty, satisfying. Recommended. UriahHeep (105), Georgia, USA

You wouldn’t think the citrusy taste that is Sierra Nevada’s trademark would go well with chocolate, but in this drink it works. Malty character with a noticeably chocolatey finish. Nice mouthfeel, not too thin but not too thick. Pretty tasty brew. HenrikSoegaard (4379), Randers, Denmark
