Dark with a tan head. Aroma - subtle with hints of coffee and cocoa. Taste of roast malt with some sweetness and a touch of bitterness. Smooth, easy drinker.

Dark ruby brown black pour with mocha head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted coffee with similar tastes. Nice thick mouth feel with a creamy smooth finish. very nice, a little cola-suds-ish-ness

One of my old standbys, I love this one. Roasty, a nice bit of caramel malt, creamy mouthfeel, assertive yet balanced hopping. Chocolatey nose, sweetness gives way to the nugget bitterness quickly. Lingering roastiness like I just had an espresso. So delicious- I have many associated memories attached to this beer from the past 10 or 15 years. A benchmark for the west coast US style porter, consistency endures at this brewery, I hope they brew forever.

My favorite porter so far. Dark and very malty. Even a little hint of chocolate.

Nice roasted aroma, smells of a delicious earthy coffee. Pours very dark brown with a thick and creamy tan head. Strong initial roasted coffee/week chocolate taste that goes down smooth and creamy. Maybe a few earthy smoked notes in between, leaves primarily a dry slightly bitter note on the tongue. A very decent porter.

Black, light beige head with nice lacing. Aroma a bit chocolaty with salty liquorice, quite smooth. Flavor is burned and salty with some herbal hops. Finishes dry and bitter. Medium bodied, soft and even a bit creamy mouthfeel. Drinkable porter.

Pours a mid-shaded brown with a little brownish white head. Aroma of Chocolate, coffee, roasted barley and brown sugar. Taste of chocolate, malt, with a creamy slightly dry finish. A decent porter, but nothing special in my book.
