Had this on tap at the Horseshoe Pub in Hudson. Has a very dark brown color with a small brownish head. Smell is is of roasted malts. Taste is of roasted/chocolate malts, nuts and finishes slightly bitter. Overall a fine porter.

Pours almost black, thin head. Some roastiness in aroma. Up front roasted malt flavors, some sweetness, hints of coffee. Medium body, roastiness lingers. A nice porter, but not at the top of my list.

Pours a deep brown with a bit of creamy eggshell head. Aroma has tons of chocolate in the front that’s supported by malt and coffee. Flavor is more of a bitter chocolate - coffee blend. Light body that’s slightly watery. Subtle bitter chocolate finish. A good example of the style.

Tap. Dark brown pour, foamy white head. Lots of aroma - roasted malt and coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma. Very nice brew.

Dark brown, cream head. Rich malt, light chocolate and coffee aromas with enough hops to make it smell savoury. Body is on the light side of medium. Creamy mouthfeel. Gentle but insistent hop finish. Subtle and balanced. Really charming.

Aroma is faint burnt chocolate. appearance is a deep, dark brown with a decent head. taste is of burnt malt, some chocolate, and some bread. Palate is disappointingly thin. Decent beer

Off-white foamy head. Body is orangy-red when held up to lightbulb. Brown when not viewed with strong light. Batch of small bubbles coming up from bottom of glass. Darker malts come out in aroma. Average body. Flavor of crushed wheat bread toast. Light maltiness in aftertaste. Another well made brew from SN!!
