SturmWulf (63), USA Jul 28, 2007 Very nice aroma of roasted malts. chocolate, coffee and a touch of molasses. Poured a sparkling deep brown, nice head that is part foamy partly fizzy, but it quickly became frothy, a nice tan, left very nice lacing, head slowly receded and became a very thick, creamy cap. Taste was very robust with roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate, strong black coffee and a touch of molasses. Strong flavors, except for molasses. Medium body, creamy smooth texture with a touch of stickiness. A long bitter finish. A very nice Porter although I don’t like them quite this bitter. Having said that, its a very good Porter and I like it and will buy again. :)Very good job by Sierra Nevada. :)

Pours dark brown with thick beige head. Roasty aroma with chocolate and some smoke. Slick and smooth mouthfeel. Roasted malts with some tobacco, smoke, caramel, bitter chocolate and english licorice. Very enjoyable. CanIHave4Beers (200), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Sep 15, 2008 Roasty, nutty, fruity, hoppy, dry, looks great with it’s deep brown almost black color and light tan head, and it smells even better. If you like porter there is no reason you shouldn’t be drinking this.
