riversideAK (1649), Shoreline, Washington, USA May 8, 2008 I agree with Odeed. Same malts, prerequisite SN flavor with a different hop profile. Some nice citrus and pepper on the nose and in the flavor profile. A nice balanced IPA that was pleasant, easy to drink etc. Enjoyable.
jzzbassman (689), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Oct 12, 2008 24 oz. Bottle: Poured a dark orange/ brown with a lot of thick lace upon the demise of the beautiful head. Aroma is hop centric, with grassy notes. Flavor more malt than suggested by the aroma, with dark bread flavors finishing bitter and floral. zebracakes (1006), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2008 On tap at the Maproom, Chicago, 09.20.08. Clear dark caramel, off white head. Aroma is kiwi hoppy and hay. Flavor is hoppy bitter, malty, and crisp. Rciesla (897), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle shared with thefle. Pours an amber body with off white head. Grapefruit, floral hop resin, pine. A strong ipa with a weaker malt backbone in comparison to its hoppiness. borgination (101), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Oct 10, 2008 24oz Bottle. Pours an amazing burnt orange wit a very thick off white head. Beautiful. Has a very hoppy taste but not one that is to bitter. Nice hoppy, pine aroma comes off it. illkarate (53), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Oct 8, 2008 24oz bottle, pours a beautiful amber/orange color with a massive, off-white head. This beer is nicely carbonated and has excellent lacing. Flavors of grapefruit, pine, hints of... rye? The malt is definitely balanced with the hops. This would make for a great session beer... but at 6.7%, I might be hammered pretty quickly (not that it matters). Drink this one while it’s fresh!
