| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2009 Bottled. Hazy amber/orange color... beigeish head that starts thick and settles to a thinner constant level throughout. finishes especially better, with a taste that doesn’t leave quickly. fata2683 (919), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2009 bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a medium light tan head. Piney, peppery hop aroma with light citrus notes. A bland toasted nutty malt base sits backseat while a hop whollop unleashes on the mouth. Ending is dry, very dry with another round of hop bitterness. Some citrus skin notes in the finish. This is a hop head fantasy. HighlanderOne (546), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Poured from 24oz bottle. Nice floral pine aroma. Has that IPA look to it. Nice mix of hops here - i get pine, floral and grapefruit notes. Not as aggressive as some IPAs but very nicely done. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Another signature Sierra Nevada pale ale. Nose of citrus hops, floral notes, and sweet caramel malts; definitely Sierra. Bottle pour is crystal clear, dark copper, with a large light head. Taste is definitely Sierra, sweet caramel malts under a spicy hoppy bitterness, balanced, with a long bitter finish. Not really fresh hopped, just fast flown dry hops, and not as intense as their fresh hopped (Northern Hemisphere) Horizon. Nice stuff. savnac (450), Palmer, Alaska, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2009 24 oz bottle. Clear orange/amber with a white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is hops, citrus, floral, pine and a lightly sweet malt base. The flavor has a bitterness all the way through but there is a sweetness to help balance the beer. This is a medium bodied beer with a sticky mouth feel and a long bitter finish. Overall this is a great IPA, I guess I thought the hops would be a little stronger. kopher (306), New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2009 ruby orange clear pour, off-white foamy head.
aroma is fresh cut grass, bitter muskyness, slight spice.
flavor is intense hops, very bitter. mild pineapple and spice, but mostly grass and pine. sweetness is mild but overall a bit cloying and thick from the hops.
a bit too much carbonation adds to the bite. medium body. ghawener (964), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 24, 2009 Bottle: Hops are less citrus and piney than most CA IPAs. Nice fresh herbal and grassy notes. Really like what Sierra Nevada is doing with their brews. Want to try some more. iamqueensblvd (226), , Iowa, USA
