Jul 8, 2009 24oz bottle from Premier in Buffalo; aroma is a soft hop nose; appearance is a gold amber body with a craggy white foamy head; tonnes of bubbles beading in this one; fine taste with hops clear and throughout, then malt sweetness (maple, vanilla, caramel) evident; palate is on the crisp side, burning almost, but it settles down. Overall, a nice ale...not exactly fitting into the 100 mile diet, but that’s ok.

Jul 7, 2009 A Mes rate: keg at the Sloany Pony.
I’m not afraid to confess my love for the Harvest so I was expecting this to be good. While it failed to reach the heady heights of the gravity served regular Harvest at last years 4th July Pony Fest, this was still bloody good. A very clean golden brown colour with a superb off white head. Big fruity hoppy stuff as expected. Fresh, lively and bright. A little on the harsh side but only enough to give it that tit spanking factor and not anything like enough to spoil it. Big bitter finish, again as expected. Possibly a little bland in the middle but the top and bottom are so good it gets away with it easily. Great stuff.

Jul 7, 2009 Aroma is a bit subtle with a hint of hops. Maybe slightly over carbonated. First taste has a bit of a tart bite. Finishes with some hop flavor and very little bitterness. Has some slight candy taste. Like it quite a bit.

Jul 7, 2009 Rich amber color with a thick sea-foam off-white head that laces well. Sweet orange, pine, and sweet citrus fruit aroma. Taste is quite bitter and backed up well by heavy malt. Finishes with lingering pine bitterness.

Jul 6, 2009 2nd release, 2009 batch. Hazy reddish-amber pour is capped by a finger and a half of fluffy white head that leaves wonderful lacing as it dissipates.
Aroma is subtle, citrusy hops and caramel. Tastes similar, with a nice punch of hops and a bright citrus, along the lines of lemon or grapefruit. The finish is smooth and refreshing, with a good balance of malt and pine.
This is a fantastic IPA and is well-balanced. The freshness really shines through.

Jul 5, 2009 2nd Edition. Bottle. Pours a clear reddish-copper, with a big, thick, sticky off-white/ivory head. Lovely lacing. Gorgeous hops on the nose, lots of pine, grapefruit, flowers, melons, smells like a really fresh bag of hops. Palate is very fresh, with a ton of ginger, honeydew melons, grapefruit, spruce. Nice maltiness balances out the hops, without becoming too present, allowing the hops to shine. Lovely stuff, exceeded my expectations.

Jul 5, 2009 Amber and orange in color. Mixture of hoppy and slight bubble gum smell. Hops come at you at first then nicely fade into the background. Alcohol is in the background. Tongue holds onto the hops for quite a while.
