Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

Pours a clear copper with off white head. Pine hop aroma, some grass. Taste is similar with a resiny hope finish. Some sweetness to balance it out. Very nice

One of the best IPAs yet. Incredible balance of specialty hops with the aroma and flavor of a DIPA or Imperial. Floral and spicy!

Thanks 17thfloor for sharing this bottle! Pours a copper red brown with a nice creamy off white head. Aroma is slightly oxidized, pretty caramely with a sweet hop character. I have a feeling this would be really nice if it were fresh but the oxidation is blanketing the hops. Flavor is still pretty nice. Stars with a sweet, honey-like sweetness that lends balance to the bitter edge of the hop oil flavors. Nice balance but still an oxidized flavor. Earthy pine bitterness rides out through the finish Medium body and a tingling carbonation. I would love to try this fresh, I’m sue it is great, even slightly oxidized the flavors are nicely balanced.

2009 Release! Appearance: Pours a clear amber with a fluffy 1/2 inch tan head. Aroma: Herbal, earthy resinous hops. Taste: More herbal earthiness, some rock sugar like sweetness, and some citrus flavors such as lemon or orange. Mouthfeel: Thick, full bodied. Overall: The closer you can get this to when it is released the better. I tried this last year, and it was near cardbord status. This beer is meant to showoff some great hopping skills, and this brew does just that.

Copper pour, frothy offwhite head. Sweet cirtus and pine hop aroma, fresh. Bitter mouthful, nice hop character, a bit of sweetness but not as much as in the nose. A nice hoppy ipa

Sweet citrusy hops aroma... Copper in color... Flavor is wonderfully hoppy with the caramel malty flavor more subtle... More of a showcase of the hops, could use a little more balance but a good beer nonetheless... Palate is spicy and bitter from the hops explosion... Nice

Pours a clear copper color with medium off-white head. Good retention and lacing. Moderate aroma with pine, light citrus and grassy hops. Flavor is similar--lots of hop bite but with a decent amount of caramel sweetness to balance it out. Moderate mouthfeel and a little on the fizzy side. Lasting bitterness in the finish.

Nice copper color and thick creamy head. Definite floral-citrus aroma and flavor. Low malt aroma and flavor. Moderate body. Spicey bitter, resinous or piney, lingers for a long time. Nicely done.
