Rich dark amber color with monster creamy beige head. Nose is apricots, canned pears, pine, grapefruit, and sunflower seeds. Taste is pretty much the same. Mouthfeel is actually kind of thin but highly quaffable for 6.7%. Finish is medium. Lots of interesting new flavors but I get a medicinal astringent finish that is off putting. | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 11, 2009 What a beautiful pour -- cascadining into a gigantic head over bright orange and active goodness. The aroma is a crisp, floral hop farm -- where’s my swimsuit? I want to dive in. Nice chewy hop drinker, with a citric, acidic sting to finish it off. Very nice. 2008 1st Release version. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Rosy reddish hue, big tan froth head, no carbonation in the glass. Lace stick on the glass making an allover nice beer to look at. Slight wheat smell gives way to lemon and hops aroma. A zesty light summertime smell. Strong sharp hops dominates an otherwise fresh grassy beer. Yes its very hoppy but I think the fresh springlike taste is most remarkable. mrhoppy (225), Santa Clara, California, USA

Great for a holiday dinner. Full in the mouth. I always buy a case when it comes out. nathan30533 (166), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 22, 2008 Wonderful Hops in this brew. Probably my favorite so far by Sierra Nevada. Hops, Hops, Hops. Pours light amber with a white head and again smell and taste the hops. Very smooth silky touch in the mouth. Impressive. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 22, 2008 Coppery pour with a thin white head. Aroma is big and hoppy all the way. Strong hop flavor with a pleasant underlying sweetness. Sugared grapefruit. Nice, full body. Flavorful. Very good. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 22, 2008 Poured a hazy gold color with a white head. Lots of bitter in this one which is very typical for Sierra Nevada. This one stands out from the rest because of the light hoppy floral flavor. One of the better beers from Sierra Nevada. jimmack34 (570), Lancaster, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2008 24 oz. bottle. pours hazy copper with a large beige head that sticks around for a while. Smells very floral and grassy. Tastes like icredible amounts of hops packed into one beer. Very bitter, with hints of grass, grains, some citrus, and some pine. Some sweetness in the aftertaste. Excellent beer.
