Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

Ah, 24 ounces of IPA, sounds like a good start to the evening. Hazy amber with an off-white rocky head, slowly eroding and lacing a trail behind it. Aroma of citrus, sweet malt, spice, floral and citrus hops and some light sugar. Tastes pretty darn good, up there with Big Foot as the best Sierra Nevada, IMO. Citrus hops balanced out by caramel make every sip a winner. Perhaps a touch too sweet and a hair to vegetal, but overall a solid beer. With two more ounces that the average bomber and 30% or so less cost, this one’s a winner.

This is a pretty impressive ale. The aromas is floral hop goodness, the taste is well balanced between the hops and malt. A hint of citrus. Pours a cloudy brown color. Very drinkable brew. Delicious.

I found this to be a great and tasty beer, whether in the bottle or on tap. Definitely hoppy, it has a great flavor that is drinkable in large quantities.

Big ol’ bottle. Poured a lovely shade of lighter orange with a fluffy, sticky cap of white head.. looked great! The aroma picked up sweet grapefruit and bready notes with spicy floral and earthy accents.. well-composed and enticing. The flavor had caramel and grapefruit meat at the core surrounded by the same spicy floral notes and grapefruit bitterness.. bitterness was high overall, just high enough to balance out the heavy sweetness.. long impression on the finish. Medium-bodied with moderate-to-high carbonation and bitterness.. balance was great and this was just enjoyable all around.

(Bottle) Pours a light brown color with a decent amount of white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is somewhat citrus dominated, with grapefruit and maybe some lemon notes. Decent malty backbone is pretty evident towards the finish. Overall, more balanced than I expected. A very good IPA!

Quite a nice brew. Pours dark brown and went down smooth. Lots and lots of hoppiness.

24 oz. bottle. Amber colored pour, average sized head. Smell and flavor were pretty typical IPA. A nice beer.

24 oz bottle. Amber colored pour with a mild head. My first experience with New Zealand hops, and at first blush they don’t seem much different from the ones I’m familiar with. Pine and citrusy in both aroma and taste, beery goodness.
