My first experience with New Zealand hops, and at first blush they don’t seem much different from the ones I’m familiar with. Pine and citrusy in both aroma and taste, beery goodness. glennmastrange (866), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of straw and caramel, moderate to heavy hops of pine, light note of meat for the yeast and cherry, wood, pepper and melon in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, slightly off-white, with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy orange/tan. flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a soft carbonation and finishes very dry. Aromas are nice, typical west coast hop profile, and the flavor is classic IPA. Just a bit too dry in the finish, still this is a very good beer. jstraw (776), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Lovely dark brown beer, fluffy head.
This beer does not really need a long name and a lot of hype. It has a smooth malty base with orange, tnagerine and lemon, ending up in a grapefruit tail. Impressive, and tyou really feel it was wotht the bother to get the NZ hops. jzzbassman (850), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
