Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

24 oz. bottle. Amber colored pour, average sized head. Smell and flavor were pretty typical IPA. A nice beer.

24 oz bottle. Amber colored pour with a mild head. My first experience with New Zealand hops, and at first blush they don’t seem much different from the ones I’m familiar with. Pine and citrusy in both aroma and taste, beery goodness.

Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of straw and caramel, moderate to heavy hops of pine, light note of meat for the yeast and cherry, wood, pepper and melon in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, slightly off-white, with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy orange/tan. flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a soft carbonation and finishes very dry. Aromas are nice, typical west coast hop profile, and the flavor is classic IPA. Just a bit too dry in the finish, still this is a very good beer.

Cloudy caramel-amber with big, foamy tan head / Muted citrus and hop nose / Medium body, creamy and hoppy, balanced malts, a little residual sweetness, and a good finish / Flavors of dried hops and caramel with notes of pineapple and orange / Typical elegant Sierra balance.

Bottle. Lovely dark brown beer, fluffy head. This beer does not really need a long name and a lot of hype. It has a smooth malty base with orange, tnagerine and lemon, ending up in a grapefruit tail. Impressive, and tyou really feel it was wotht the bother to get the NZ hops.

24 oz. Bottle: Poured a dark orange/ brown with a lot of thick lace upon the demise of the beautiful head. Aroma is hop centric, with grassy notes. Flavor more malt than suggested by the aroma, with dark bread flavors finishing bitter and floral.

Bottle shared with thefle. Pours an amber body with off white head. Grapefruit, floral hop resin, pine. A strong ipa with a weaker malt backbone in comparison to its hoppiness.
