Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

24 oz bottle from premier gourmet. pour hazy orange with a perfect tan head. perfect IPA appearance. aromas is of subdued hops with almost no malt presence. the flavours are similar. i dont feel as if the hops shine as the brewer intended in this one and the malts are a little lacking. overall its an above average IPA but just not my fav.

24-oz. bottle purchased at Coaltrain Wine & Liquor, Colorado Springs, CO. Pours clear amber with a huge, foamy, off-white head, lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, straw), heavy hops (perfume, flowers, citrus, pine), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apricot, grapefruit, and spiced apples. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness; nice spiciness and lingering dryness.

24oz bottle purchased for $4.45 from Wine Emporium in Boston. Pours a clear medium gold with little head but some lacing. Decent hop aroma, but was hoping for more from a "fresh hop" beer. Flavour is full and bitter, with hops that give the beer a warming sensation. Enjoyable stuff, though less floral and fruity than I associate with "fresh hops".

24oz bottle shared at the Houston BA Tasting. Pours a cloudy orange with off-white head. Nose is citrus and caramel. Taste is the same with some earthiness to it. Mouthfeel was thin and only mildly bitter.

pours a muddy light brown with a large head that sticks around for a while A good grapefruit like nose, with a bite to it. It has a very smooth taste with a little aftertaste to it. it has a good crisp bitterness to it, that hangs around for a while

Poured a nice bright amber golden orange with a faint whiff of pine and hay. Flavour was smooth and slightly spiced. Had some interesting characteristics going on within the palate but strangely, I got quite full while drinking my first pint and couldn’t finish the rest. This is not bad, but I had a hard time distinguishing it from SN’s other beers.
