Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

Amber color with a medium to thin ivory head. Aroma is big citrus resinous hops. Flavor is definitely more on the bitter than malty side - lots of hops in this beer - citrus orange and lemons, and a good malt presense - abiscuity, lightly roasty, but crispy sides of my tongue in the finish...

24 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small white mostly disappearing head. The aroma is earthy and fruity hops, light toasty caramel malt, and dry. The flavor is more earthy hops, biscuity, malty with mild sweetness, and very light citrus. Fresh, dry, and enjoyable. I think I like the original harvest ale better.

A rich, dark copper pour producing a slowly, diminishing khaki colored head. Lots and lots of blanketing lacing is left around the glass, this looks very welcoming. Served slightly below cellar temperature, a robust aroma of fresh green hops permeates just above the body. Biscuit and caramel malt scents are evident, but soon become overshadowed by a wave of fresh evergreen and citrus aromas. Medium bodied and rather filling, there is a good bitterness on the taste buds. A nice sticky, bitter aftertaste lingers on and on. No doubt that this is an IPA, very well balanced for the style. Plenty of bittering and flavorful hops, but they are not overpowering. Gritty pine and puckering grapefruit give way to a hearty malt content displaying flavors of fresh bread, caramel and grass. The overall effect is real similar to opening a fresh packet of hop pellets and sticking your face in. A little more of a noble presence in this one compared to their other Fresh Hop Ale. Nicely done, I enjoyed this large 24 oz. bomber thoroughly.

Bottle. Poured a clear reddish-amber hue with a fluffy off-white head that retained nicely and left decent lacing. Spicy, floral hop aroma with some soft fruitiness including soft apricot and a light pineapple. Spicy, floral hop entry with some undertones of soft tropical fruit transition into a leafy, earthy hop hit with a hint of pine and moderate bitterness. Pretty nice fresh hop brew

Hazy copper body with a frothy small bubbled tan head. Loads of citrus up front with sweet malt in the background. Smooth malty body with bitterness building till the end. A little rawness from the fresh hops but not too much. One of the best Fresh Hop beers I’ve had.
